So instead of being miserable in my own sweat, I could use it for the forces of awesome. At least there's only one more day of this heat wave to get through.
Went to work in exercise shorts and a t-shirt, and then spent my afternoon playing with the kids. My apartment has no air conditioning, so right now I'm sitting in front of my computer in the lightest clothing possible, watching The Golden Compass. It's been ages since I've read the book (incidentally, the only one of the His Dark Materials trilogy I really enjoyed), but this adaptation feels quite clunky and overly-expository. Well, I shall see how it turns out.
